Suicide Alertness safeTALK Training for Muslim Leaders and Organisations
Facilitated by Muslim run organisation, Educaid Australia, this accredited workshop is tailored to Muslim community workers, leaders, and organisations. Suicide alertness training equips participants of all professional backgrounds to be more alert to someone thinking of suicide and better able to connect them with further help. By attending the training, you will build the skills and knowledge to:
- Address community attitudes in a culturally and religiously safe setting.
- Recognise signs indicating that a person may be contemplating suicide and providing guidance on sensitively observing and identifying behavioral changes or verbal cues that could indicate suicidal thoughts.
The session will also include:
- Consultation and collaboration on next steps on addressing Islamically informed approaches to mental health and suicide
- Resources, workbook and certificate
