As part of Mental Health month, this MIM session will be looking at how parents can learn from their children. Facilitated by Nursen Ozger, Psychologist, this workshop will focus on the strengths of acknowledging all members of the family and the importance of reflecting on and understanding the active role that children play within a family.

Nursen is a registered psychologist with over 10 years experience working with a range of clients with different presentations. She has previously worked as a Primary School Teacher in both the private and public school systems.
Nursen is a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi). She has worked extensively as a Bilingual Clinical Consultant with Transcultural Mental Health Centre. Within this role she has presented seminars to community groups and allied health professionals on depression, anxiety, multicultural problem gambling and working therapeutically with Muslim clients.
Nursen is the sole director of Openminds Therapy Centre a psychology practice within the Auburn Gallipoli Mosque grounds. She is a Tuning in to Kids certified facilitator who is currently running parent groups on Emotion Coaching.
